Siam Park's construction started in 2004. Originally slated to open in May 2007, the park has endured construction problems, but was finally opened to the public by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on September 17, 2008.

La Gomera Tour with Garajonay Forest and San Sebastian

La Gomera boasts unspoilt landscapes and a distinct culture all of its own. On this tour, you'll visit this Jurassic-like island and discover Garajonay National Park, a string of villages and the charming capital, San Sebastian. Arianne, one of our guides, says of the island, ‘La Gomera is a totally different world – it's a return to the past, to the origin of the Canary Islands.'The star of the show is without doubt Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a mishmash of deep ravines and gorges filled with ancient, misty laurel forests and rare plant life. On a visit to its interpretative centre, you'll find out about its botany and history. You'll also get to know hamlets such as oasis-like Chejelipes, which is on the banks of a reservoir, and the northern villages of Hermigua and Aguilo. One of the highlights is a visit to a family-run restaurant famed for its jaw-dropping views over the island's volcanic landscapes. Here, you'll enjoy a typical lunch made from locally sourced ingredients. And you'll get you to learn about local culture, too. There's a demonstration of the unique-to-the-island ‘whistling language' known as 'silbo gomero'. To round off the experience, there's free time to explore San Sebastian. Here, you can follow in the footsteps of Columbus before he began his first voyage of discovery. More than a visit to another island, a trip to La Gomera is a journey to another era.

Teide and Masca Tour from Southern Tenerife

This exclusive tour explores Tenerife's most dramatic inland areas. You'll venture in an eight-seater minivan through the otherworldly landscapes of Teide National Park, admire the panoramas from countless viewpoints and visit the ridge-top hamlet of Masca. Plus, there's traditional Canarian lunch on the menu, too. Arianne, one of our expert local guides, say, ‘I love guiding this tour because it's an overdose of nature, focusing on the island's volcanology, from the past to the present.'Your adventure kicks off by heading south into Teide National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – climbing through a dense pine forest. There's a pit stop at Chirche viewpoint, which often overlooks cloud-shrouded terrain below. The scenery around here is still bursting with greenery. But as we journey deeper into the national park, you'll encounter volcanic landscapes that could easily be on the moon, Venus or Mars. Desolate, rock-strewn badlands. A stop at Roques de Garcia allows you to take some pics near these iconic rock formations, with the volcano's cone in the background.Grab a last look at the lava-scarred landscapes at Poleos viewpoint before dropping into a family-run restaurant for a lunch made from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. North West Tenerife Hidden Secrets Guided Tour with Transport

It's one pretty village after another on this exclusive tour in the rugged northwest of Tenerife. We'll drop in at a roll call of the island's must-visits. Christian, one of our local experts, says, ‘A guide shows you around the park in Icod de los Vinos and gives you the lowdown on its fascinating dragon tree, which is 20 metres tall.' Santiago del Teide, local speciality tasting and a trip to Teno Rural Park are also part of the line-up.You'll journey through Santiago del Teide, a highland village of whitewashed homes. In Icod de Los Vinos, you'll admire the centuries-old dragon tree, with some free time to wander around the town. Garachico – often called the ‘prettiest and unluckiest' – awaits with some interesting history. Devastated by a volcanic eruption in 1706 and rebuilt on its lava, it's now famous for natural lava pools, guarded by a volcanic rock castle, where locals and visitors alike come to bathe. When it's time to take a break, there's a tasty local lunch, served in a family-run restaurant in a traditional finca. Teno Rural Park showcases the island's rich biodiversity and is known as the source of Tenerife's top-quality natural produce. You'll even get to try some locally made marmalades and jams, all produced with a minimum carbon footprint. The ‘lost hamlet' of Masca is also on the cards, one of Tenerife's most eye-catching spots, dramatically perched on a ridge overlooking a valley.

Full Day Tenerife Tour with La Laguna and Lunch
Excursions & day trips

Full Day Tenerife Tour with La Laguna and Lunch

Dusty and lunar-like in the south, green and mountainous in the north, Tenerife packs a continent into one island. Think quaint villages, stunning views and a local lunch on this full day experience. You'll visit the UNESCO-listed old town of La Laguna, drop into a bodega for lunch and explore an aloe vera plantation. Arianne, one of our local expert guides, says, ‘Canarian bananas are smaller but thicker, and their peel has dark speckles. The pulp is yellower, and it should be eaten riper, which makes it sweeter.'First up is a visit to an aloe vera plantation. Here, you'll learn about the healing qualities – especially skincare – of this crop. Then it's on to La Laguna, arguably the prettiest town on the island. Throw in its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it makes for a real gem of a stop. Wander its poker-straight streets of pastel-coloured palaces and colonial-era churches and convents, or stop for a coffee in one of the cool tree-lined plazas. Taste local products such as marmalade and cheese in the weekly market and admire the town's famous flower displays. It's then on to a family-run bodega for a typical Canarian lunch surrounded by vintage bottles and aged barrels. All ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced to reduce the environmental impact. And it goes without saying that some of the bodega's wines will be served with the food.
