Kick up a cloud of dust as you navigate through the jungle in your ATV, feel the rush of wind against your face as you soar through the treetops on five thrilling zip lines, and take a refreshing dip in the waters of a cenote. Your exhilarating day at Extreme Adventure Eco Park is waiting for you in the heart of the Mayan jungle.

Following pick-up from your accommodation, you'll be whisked away to Puerto Morelos and its Ruta de los Cenotes. Upon arrival at Extreme Adventure Eco Park, you'll receive a safety briefing and be equipped with a helmet, gloves, and harness. Then it's time to let your adrenaline surge as you zip through the trees and test your balance on five zip lines and three interactive bridges. Once back on solid ground, it's time to rev up your ATV. Your expert guide will lead you deep into the jungle to explore the region's diverse flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for monkeys swinging through the trees and toucans darted past as you race over rugged dirt trails.

After your off-road adventure, wash away the dust in the invigorating waters of a natural Mayan cenote—a sinkhole filled with beautiful blue water. Holbox Island offers 36km of pristine white beaches washed by emerald-green seas. On this exclusive excursion, you'll discover spots like Isla Pasion on a private boat and enjoy lunch at a five-star eco-resort. There's also a golf buggy tour of the island to look forward to. Ariel, one of our local guides on this tour, says, ‘Holbox is a habitat for more than 300 endemic and migratory species. It's also something of a playground, with activities such as speedboats and beach buggies.'Board your boat at Chiquila – piloted by a local fisherman – and be whisked off on a two-hour coastal tour. Every other company uses the local ferry. Your guide will point out places known for their wildlife and explain what efforts are being made to preserve this habitat. And if you're doing the tour between June and September, you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the island's flamboyant flamingos. Plus, you'll discover the beauty of the secluded beaches of Isla Pasion and Punta Mosquito, before heading to the eco-resort for lunch followed by downtime on the sunloungers.Once your batteries are recharged, you'll hop into a golf buggy for some fun exploring the surrounding area. You'll also see the locals show off their skills hand-weaving hammocks – an age-old craft – and find out how this cottage industry helps support the community.

There's even a ‘flying hammock' for you to try out. It's truly exhilarating."Arrive at the park and after a quick safety briefing from the instructors, we'll crank up the excitement. The order of the activities will be decided on the day to make sure crowds are spread out, and you can enjoy your experiences to the maximum. You'll swoop through the treetops on a seven-line zipline course, where you can soak up panoramic views of the park from above – and you can choose from four different flying modes.Then head back up top to take a break with a buffet lunch of local favourites – the Yucatan's signature pulled pork cochininita pibil is usually on the menu – washed down with water and coffee.
