Things to do in Seville's Cathedral
The cathedral of Seville, also known as the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, is an important point of interest for those who choose Spain as a holiday destination. It is the world's largest Gothic cathedral and the third largest Christian temple after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and St. Paul's Cathedral in London. In 1987 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral is located in the heart of the city. Its construction dates back to 1401 on the site of the former Great Mosque, of which the cathedral retains the Orange Tree Courtyard and the minaret, now known as the Giralda. Seville Cathedral was converted into a Christian church in 1248 when the city was conquered by Ferdinand III of Castile. It consists of 5 naves and 25 chapels, where you can admire the work of important Spanish painters.
"Let's make a Church where those who see its carvings think we're mad": thus did the city interpret the Canons of Seville in 1401 during the meetings in which it was decided that the city's old mosque should be demolished. Unknowingly, they were announcing the creation of this imposing architectural work. The exterior is characterized by an impressive set of reliefs. The name of the architect who designed it, however, is unknown.
The Seville Cathedral is made up of the Giralda tower, the Orange Tree Courtyard, the roofs, the Door of Forgiveness, the Door of Conception, the Door of Sticks, the Door of Bells, the Door of the Prince, the Door of Saint Michael, the Door of Assumption and the Door of Baptism.

Reviews Seville's Cathedral
“I would highly recommend to not book a trip with Onway Tours. The Alacazar and the Cathedral I highly recommend to visit, and there was not a fault there, but we received very poor communication from the tour company, and unhelpful customer service.”
“Very useful.”
“De gids voerde een eigen show op. Vertelde op 78 toeren zijn eigen show. Ik was na 5 minuten al afgehaakt.”
“Doveva essere un tour in inglese, non ne avevo trovato uno in italiano, ma per fortuna la nostra guida parlava italiano e ci ha spiegato tutto molto bene. Praticamente un tour privato.Però mi avete inviato il punto d'incontro sbagliato e per fortuna sono riuscita a mettermi in contatto con la guida”
