Things to do in Anne Frank House
The Anne Frank House is undoubtedly one of the most visited and well-known buildings in all of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. The historic building is where Anne Frank, a widely discussed Jewish victim of the Holocaust, hid with her family from Nazi persecution during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II.
Anne Frank and her family hid for over two years at the rear of the 17th-century canal house in a part known as the Secret Annex. The Anne Frank House is where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary, documenting her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944. The building was later converted into a museum in 1960 which provides a detailed account of Anne Frank’s life and the tragic historical events that took place around her.
At the Anne Frank House, you’ll get the chance to dive deeper into her story. Nearby, you will find a statue created in her honor, outside Amsterdam’s Westerkerk.

“Buongiorno, in riferimento alla parte museale tutto OK, mentre per la parte che riguarda i mezzi pubblici , ovvero AUTOBUS, stiamo pagando il biglietto in quanto gli autisti ci rispondono che la card che abbiamo non e' valida.”
